Irish heart is a sample of me speaking "the irish heave a heart, oh we have many harps in ireland, no i said the irish have a heart, i know lad, it's like a harp. ".

I took an rca to 1/8 inch cable and plugged it into my sound card input. The sound is created by sticking the two rca plug ends to a 9 volt battery's + and - terminals. . . I don't know if the noise comes from the battery or the computer, though.

Old mechanical door bell, not in best condition. Rattles while the switch is closed (whether it's designed to do that i don't know) and clicks rather loudly on the low bell. Not much decay.

It was a very uncommon, one-of-a-kind situation. You wind up somewhere you didn't intend and still sober, but someone is drunk enough, to not only drop his pants and to assume the position, but to be bound there. I was sure he would never know who pressed the button, testicles that i never asked to see were right there and i just couldn't resist. I didn’t think it made contact because i didn’t make ‘em move. Pressing the button, however, did. I know i wasn't the last to do it either, but i was already on my way out the door. Probably wasn't his best night. The file is named after the abused end. Ps, i think i was supposed to taze his butt. Nup.

I don't know what kind this was, but several red-headed woodpeckers appear at my feeder. I got just one series without background traffic noise. If you want to repeat it for effect, each series came 46 seconds apart. Probably how long it took him to eat the bugs he turned up.

Synth bagpipes with snare only. I made this for the backing track, at very low volume, for a video sound track. It's good enough for something like that. I don't know anything about pipes so don't freak out if play them. It's g at 100bpm in 6/8.

One minute of handwriting with a regular pencil on paper. There is little reverb in the recording. I don't know why, maybe its because i pointed the mic (gatt audio moh-7) straight to the paper and the distance was too close. Recorded: pcinterface: h4nmic: gatt audio moh-7.

A little tune where uoki-toki polivoks vcf and intellijel μvcf are acting as vcos. I use one more sound source and that’s noise for the rhythmic sound. No sequencer. No midi. No keyboard. No over dub. Don’t know why i write this… it’s an nice experiment anyway.

This was created with paul's extreme sound stretch program, my voice, and audacity. I whispered a couple of times into the microphone and slowed it down a good bit in paul's stretch program. A glissando that's perfect for sliding in and out (both sliding in and out for each sample have been added). A lot of cartoons use this particular sound. This sound was recorded by a very talented violin player that i know personally, and edited in audacity. I used the 'dolby on' app on my iphone to record it.
